Woman With a Warrant Gives Cops a Fake Name… of Another Woman With a Warrant

Wichita Falls police say a woman with a warrant tried to deceive cops by using a fake name, but it turns out the fake name also had a warrant.

28-year-old Shareeka Strawn was pulled over by police for allegedly failing to use a turn signal.  Police say, once stopped, the driver and passenger were detained with the officers noticed a bag of marijuana get tossed out of a window.  Strawn, having several warrants out for her arrest, allegedly gave police the fake name of Porshala Strawn.

When police checked the record of Porshala Strawn, they found that the name belonged to a real person who also had a warrant out for their arrest.  Officers say Shareeka confessed to giving them a false name when she realized her effort had failed.  She was arrested on several warrant charges and with failure to identify/fugitive-intent to give false information
