UPDATE: Officials say Ryan Newman is listed in serious, but stable condition. Doctors say his injuries are not life-threatening.

Denny Hamlin won his 2nd-straight Daytona 500 after a frightening crash sent the leader of the final lap to the hospital.
After several crashes, the Great American Race was sent into overtime. In the final lap, Ryan Newman was in the lead before a couple of drivers made their move, spun Newman out and into a wall, where his car proceeded to flip over and then get hit again by another driver. The car briefly went up in flames and Newman was not immediately responsive. He taken to a hospital with no word on his condition from the broadcast.
