Simone Johnson, daughter of pro wrestling legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, has begun her pro wrestling career.
Simone has signed a contract with WWE and started training at the Performance Center in Florida.
“It means the world to me. To know that my family has such a personal connection to wrestling is really special to me and I feel grateful to have the opportunity, not only to wrestle but to carry on that legacy.” – Simone Johnson
That legacy is HUGE. Simone will be the first fourth-generation star in WWE history. Simone’s grandfather was the late Rocky Johnson, and her great-grandfather on her mother’s side was the “High Chief” Peter Maivia.
Her mom’s side is the legendary Samoan family that has spawned about a BILLION wrestling superstars, including the Wild Samoans, Yokozuna, Rikishi, Umaga, Nia Jax, Tamina Snuka, Roman Reigns, and the Usos.
