According to a Facebook post by Patrick Martin, he and another person named Mo were at Best Buy to shop for a new laptop when they came across Shaquille O’Neal. Shaq has been going through some rough times emotionally after the recent loss of his sister to cancer and former teammate in the NBA, Kobe Bryant who died in a helicopter crash.
Patrick says he and Mo gave their condolences and walked off. But, Shaq returned and said he liked them. Shaq then told them to pick the nicest laptop in the store, offering to buy it for them.
