An Indian died of a stroke after an attack from his rooster on the way to a cockfight.
50-year-old Saripalli Chanavenkateshwaram was reportedly a regular at the local cockfights in Pragadavaram, India. Police reported to CNN that the man was struck in the neck with a blade attached to the fighting rooster’s foot when the animal attempted to escape. Chanavenkateshwaram was taken to the hospital where he later died of a stroke.
Cockfighting has been illegal in India since 1960.
