42-year-old Shawn Yoakum has been accused of attempted robbery after being identified by the store clerk… who is his own brother.
Police in Lafayette, Indiana says Yoakum pulled a knife and demanded money from the two convenience store clerks – one of whom was Yoakum’s own brother. The clerks closed the protective glass and called police with positive identification of the suspect.
According to police, Yoakum was still armed with a knife when he began resisting arrest. He was tased and shot with a bean bag. Yoakum was booked into the Tippecanoe County Jail on charges of attempted robbery and resisting law enforcement.
