UPDATE: According to Cpl. Bridgette Dugas with the Lafayette Police Department, multiple agencies were on hand due to accusations of an individual with a shotgun. When authorities made contact with the individual, the individual posed no threat. No charges have been filed.

The Advocate is reporting that downtown Lafayette is on lockdown after a suspicious person report. It is reported that a man was seen unloading multiple large guns from the trunk of a car. Lafayette Police and the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
