The CDC has confirmed the first person-to-person transmission of the coronavirus inside of the United States.
According to the Center for Disease Control, the respiratory virus was spread when a woman who had recently traveled to China transferred it to her husband when she returned to Chicago, Illinois.
It’s the sixth new case of the coronavirus inside the United States and the second in Illinois. Other confirmed cases exist in California, Arizona, and Washington state.
