Cankton to Have First Ever Courir De Mardi Gras

First Annual Crew of Cankton Courir De Mardi Gras & Gumbo Cook-off will be held on February 22nd, 2020.  All proceeds will be donated to the Louisiana Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run.

Festivities will include a gumbo cook-off (chicken & sausage, bowls will be available for $1 each), fun jumps, face painting, a children’s chicken run, and a fais dodo with a live band!

Rules to be enforced:

• NO PARTY WAGONS
• Only horses & horse drawn wagons on the chicken run
• Women will be allowed to ride only (no chasing)
• EVERYONE on the ride MUST be in costume or you will not be permitted on the route.

This event is a BYOB/BYIC event. No bottles allowed.
