The New Orleans Saints named Notre Dame Head Football Coach, Lewis Cook, as Coach of the Year and held a ceremony for him on Wednesday.

Coach Lewis Cook was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in 2018. Coach Cook has amassed 357 career wins in 33 years of coaching, landing him fifth on the all-time list. Coach Cook’s teams have won 24 District titles and 5 state titles, 1 at Crowley and 4 at Notre Dame. Coach Cook was also a member of the staff at USL from 1981 to 84 and 92 to 95. Those teams included 2018 inductee class member, Brandon Stokley and Hall of Fame member, Jake Delhomme. In his career, Coach Cook has coached six eventual NFL players.
