82nd International Rice Festival Entertainment lineup is released

Festival favorites return for the 82nd International Rice Festival October 18-21, 2018. The Rice Festival remains an admission free event beginning Thursday evening with two sound stages providing musical entertainment as well as festival events. Rice eating and fiddle and accordion contest, the crowning of the International Rice Festival Queen are just some of the events for the 2018 year.

Wayne Toups, Jamie Bergeron and Category 6 will are popular crowd favorites returning this year. New acts to take the stage includes Gyth Rigdon, Glen Templeton and The Fleurtations.  The complete entertainment list is here.

  “We are very excited about the lineup this year.  Our goal was to offer a variety of music for festival goers and I think we did that this year,” says Chad Monceaux, 2018 Festival Chairman.
