REALTOR® Association of Acadiana, an organization that provides real estate resources and services for realtors throughout Acadiana, recently announced they will be cooking for a cause at the first ever Tour du Riz Cook-Off, where teams can cook any dish over rice. The event will take place on Friday, March 25, in downtown Lafayette around Parc International in conjunction with Downtown Alive! featuring Marc Broussard.

Reid Smith, President of the REALTOR® Association of Acadiana said,”This event is an exciting opportunity for us to once again serve up a good time and delicious food while raising money for local charities.”

Teams will be made up of REALTOR® and affiliates members of the association competing for a chance to win the top prize. Attendees will get the opportunity to vote for their favorite dishes and can expect to try some of their Cajun favorites including jambalaya, red beans & rice, chicken fricassee, and much more! All proceeds from the Tour du Riz Cook-Off will benefit three charities in Acadiana: Maddie’s Footprints, Lane’s Legacy, and Habit for Humanity.

Tickets for the REALTOR® Association of Acadiana’s first ever Tour du Riz Cook-Off can be purchased in advance at the REALTOR® Association Office located at 234 Rue Beauregard, or the night of the event for $10 and includes tastings at each booth and a complimentary soft drink, domestic beer, or hard seltzer. The cook-off is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. in conjunction with Downtown Alive! featuring Marc Broussard and The Good Dudes. Live music kicks off at 6 p.m.
