SUMMARY:National Youth Art Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:The National Youth Art Month Exhibit has been a tradition for many years at the Crowley Art Association Gallery and it continues in 2026 with a grand opening gala on Friday\, March 13 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the CAA Gallery located at 411 N Parkerson Avenue in Crowley. The public is invited to view over 300 pieces of art created by students in Acadia Parish\, meet those students\, discuss their work\, and enjoy cake and punch. The exhibit will remain on display through March 27 with many of the pieces available for sale on a cash and carry basis beginning March 13. The gala and exhibit are free to attend and the public is encouraged to go by the gallery and see what the youth of Acadia can do.

DESCRIPTION:Friends of the Lafayette Public Library (FLPL) are pleased to announce their Semiannual Book Sale\, open to the public Thursday March 19\, through Saturday March 21.  Become a member at the door on Wednesday March 18\, from 3PM TO 7PM for the Members Pre-sale.   \n \nThe sale will take place at the Heymann Performing Arts Center\, 1373 S. College Rd.  Hours vary but the sale begins at 9:00AM each day.  Gently used books are sold by the inch: $1 for paperbacks and $2 for hardbacks.  FLPL also offers a large assortment of Childrens books\, DVDs\, CDs\, Audio Books and puzzles. Multiple classroom copies of childrens books will be available for sale to interested teachers.\n \nAll money raised by the book sale goes to benefit the Lafayette Public Libary.  To date\, FLPL has raised over one million dollars for the Library.  \n \nFor more information check out FLPL’S Facebook page at: facebook/lafayettefriends.
