DESCRIPTION:Lafayette Consolidated Government’s Parks\, Arts\, Recreation\, and Culture (PARC) Department is now accepting registrations for the 2026 Youth Track & Field season. Registration begins March 1 and will remain open throughout the season.  \nYouth ages 5 to 14 are eligible to participate. During registration\, athletes can select the events they wish to compete in. There is no cost to register\, but admission to track meets is $10 for adults and $5 for students. \nAll meets will take place at Northside High School at 8:00 a.m. with on-site registration happening from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m. on the following Saturdays: \n\nApril 18\, 2026\nApril 25\, 2026\nMay 2\, 2026\nMay 9\, 2026\nMay 16\, 2026\n\nIndividuals and organized track clubs are welcome to register. A full meet schedule will be released once registration concludes.

No registration is required—just show up and join the fun!\nFun & Fitness: An accessible\, supportive exercise class focused on improving fitness\, balance\, and flexibility. SUMMARY:National Youth Art Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:The National Youth Art Month Exhibit has been a tradition for many years at the Crowley Art Association Gallery and it continues in 2026 with a grand opening gala on Friday\, March 13 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the CAA Gallery located at 411 N Parkerson Avenue in Crowley. The public is invited to view over 300 pieces of art created by students in Acadia Parish\, meet those students\, discuss their work\, and enjoy cake and punch. The exhibit will remain on display through March 27 with many of the pieces available for sale on a cash and carry basis beginning March 13. The gala and exhibit are free to attend and the public is encouraged to go by the gallery and see what the youth of Acadia can do.

DESCRIPTION:Acadiana Veterans Hockey team\, a 501-C non-profit organization that helps veteran services members heal through the sport of hockey. We started this program in early 2025 and have grown exponentially over this past year. Specifically\, we are trying to take a team to the USA Hockey Nationals tournament in April of this year and are needing help. Hockey in general is not a cheap sport\, especially when trying to take a group out of state to play/heal.
