The Louisiana Cattle Festival Board has unanimously decided to relocate the 2018 Festival to its new permanent home at 2901 Rodeo Rd. in Abbeville. This has been Festival property since 1954, and by removing the yellow building which housed the floats, it has become possible to utilize the entire property for the Festival and its events, as well as parking. As a result of this decision, the Festival will now open on Thursday evening, October 11, with Fair bracelet night, as well as entertainment in the Red Barn, which will feature all entertainment throughout the weekend. The Festival will now be gated, with the goal of national entertainment, in addition to local entertainment in the future.
