Summer Reading Challenge (how it works):

* We’re challenging the community to read 3 million minutes by July 31.

* Sign up at https://lafayettepubliclibrary.beanstack.org/

* Read 600 minutes; record your minutes online or pick up a paper reading log at any library location.

* Redeem your minutes for a prize pack and a chance to win a grand prize.

* Open to Adults, Teens, and Children.

* If a child is too young to read, then you can read to them and that counts as minutes.

* Get more details at lafayettepubliclibrary.org/summer.

– Fun Fact = As of June 30, we are at more than 600,000 minutes read!

 Children can join the Ragin’ Readers Program:

* Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics partnered with Lafayette Public Library.

* Children, ages Kindergarten through 6th grade, can participate.

* Read and record 600 minutes now through August 15.

* Print reading log at http://www.ragincajuns.com/raginreaders or pick one up at any library location.

* To redeem minutes, email geauxcajuns@louisiana.edu.
