Fund the Mission Initiative ACS

Help the American Cancer Society “Fund the Mission” by directly allocating funds to transportation assistance in Louisiana or cancer research.

The 2019 “Fund the Mission” initiative is sponsored by TIDES MEDICAL.

About the American Cancer Society:

At the American Cancer Society, we’re on a mission to free the world from cancer. Until we do, we’ll be funding and conducting research, sharing expert information, supporting patients, and spreading the word about prevention. All so you can live longer – and better. Last year alone, the Society provided over 24,000 services to cancer patients and families from Louisiana.

Help local patients with access to care:

Access to care, specifically transportation, continues to be a burden on many local patients facing treatment. Through our “Fund the Mission” initiative, donors have the opportunity to allocate contributions 100% to funding local transportation grants. All dollars pledged through this initiative will be available via application for cancer centers in our local communities, such as Lafayette.

Fund life-saving research:

Next to the Federal Government, the Society is the largest funder of cancer research. In fact, we are currently funding over $410 million in research grants. You can help grow these efforts by pledging a donation that will be allocated 100% to cancer research.

Become a “Fund the Mission” donor:

While you may choose to remain anonymous, we will spotlight all “Fund the Mission” donors in the area during our August 24th Black and White Gala at UL in Lafayette. All donors who make a pledge by July 1st, will be included in the program and announced during the event in front of over 300 distinguished guests from the area. Donors are not required to be present for recognition, but additional information is available for the event.
