Louisiana Moving to Phase 3 of Reopening

On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has announced that the state will move into Phase 3 of reopening.

The Governor said the state is moving in the right direction and will move into Phase 3 on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 and will last for at least 28 days.  The guidelines will be similar to the 2020 Phase 3 guidelines that the state was temporarily in.

Changes include: most businesses can operate at 75% capacity, churches will no longer have a capacity restriction, bars can operate at 25% capacity, but that can increase to 50% for bars in parishes where positivity is under 5% for 7 consecutive days, gyms can operate at 50% capacity, conventions and festivals can operate at 50% capacity, and indoor music can be allowed within the guidelines of the State Fire Marshall.

The mask mandate will remain in place.
