5 Things To Do Now To Capture More Of The Spending Spree Being Predicted

No one knows the future, but this isn’t exactly guesswork that a potentially considerable boost could be coming to a wide variety of businesses.

According to the Wall Street Journal, pent-up savings are expected to boost recovery this year and possibly next year. We are talking about the potential for more activity and growth than business owners are used to seeing. Those local businesses that don’t prepare to be seen and make their consumer priorities known, risk falling behind the big corporate offerings that are only too happy to step in and take market share from local businesses.

  1. When is the last time you evaluated what you offer, how the market may be shifting, and what people will most want that you offer coming out of Covid-19? We are encouraging you to review your business inventory, your customer comments, and interaction, and your competitor’s current practices. This will give you an overview of what has gone right, what didn’t work, and what you strongly feel will help protect and grow your relationships with local customers in 2021 and beyond.

  2. How important is the supply line to your business? This is more critical than many businesspeople think. Don’t assume that what you’ve known in the past – especially timing on orders and receiving – will look or act the same way. Make your plans accordingly so you can be the competitor that arrives on time with the best products and services for your local customers.

  3. What is your plan for rapidly communicating with highly mobile local customers as they get back to their routines and may have those extra dollars looking for important products and services (to them)? Business people sometimes think: “People know where we are! They know what we offer.” Do they? We often overstate the importance of what we are doing and what it means to local customers. We don’t recommend you do this now. The more rapidly you communicate what you offer, what makes your brand special, and how it benefits local customers, the more of them you are likely to see with money in your business. Reach out to Big 102.1 for a variety of solutions. We can help you with this and we will focus on bringing you more value and helping your business in this environment.

  4. Make your messaging on your website, in your business, and in all forms of marketing, including social media and digital, clean and clearly communicated to customers. If you are not cleanly focused and focused on the right customers, you will suffer for it against larger and other competitors. If you need help with this, your Big 102.1 marketing executive can help you with these goals, too.

  5. Pay closer attention than ever to the customers who visit your business in any form. This includes showing up in your business, interacting with your social media or website, or someone who sends you an email or calls you on your phone. How you treat customers now can impact your customer base for years. You can grow your share of the market or lose your future. It’s up to you. We recommend reviewing how you come in contact with customers and how they feel about you. You can control much of this by having a fresh process in place that you communicate to every employee and in your marketing.

Every business will handle their business the way they think is best. At Big 102.1, we are here to be a resource for your business. We’re taking our own advice and going out of our way to communicate how we can be helpful to our clients and potential new clients.
