New Orleans Saints Head Coach Sean Payton got slimed after his team beat the Chicago Bears 21-9 in the first round of the NFL Playoffs.
The NFL is attempting to expand its audience and partnered with kid’s channel, Nickelodeon to create a more child-friendly simulcast of one NFL playoff game during Wildcard Weekend. The broadcast was complete with slime graphics, googly eyes, and a little more explanation to help younger fans better understand the game.
When Saints Head Coach Sean Payton heard that the game was going to be simulcasted on Nickelodeon, he said he would be willing to get slimed for real if he won. Payton kept his promise.
