A Space Mountain Disney movie is in the works.
Space Mountain is an indoor roller coaster with an outer space theme. It doesn’t really have a plot or any characters, but Disney is planning to create a movie loosely based on the ride.
All we know right now is that it’ll be a “family adventure.” It’s intended as a theatrical release and since it’s still in the early stages, theaters might be a thing again by the time it’s done.
Space Mountain was introduced at Disney World in Orlando in 1975. It made its way to Disneyland in California in 1977. It’s now in five of the six Disney parks around the world.
