Members of the Titans Test Positive for COVID-19, Games Could Be Postponed

The NFL started out pretty well in its first few weeks, but now there’s been a coronavirus outbreak in the Tennessee Titans organization.

At least nine members of the Titans have tested positive this week, including three players, one coach, and five other employees.  The Titans were tested before they left for Minnesota and linebackers coach Shane Bowen stayed behind when he tested positive.  All of the other results came back negative.  The team was not tested on Sunday when they played against the Minnesota Vikings but began getting positive tests on Monday.  So, it’s possible that the virus could have spread in Minnesota. As of now, the Vikings say they have not received a positive test.

Both the Titans and Vikings have closed their practice facilities until they conduct more testing.  No announcements have been made from the NFL pending the new testing, but both teams Week 4 games could be in jeopardy.  The Titans are supposed to host the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Vikings are scheduled to play the Texans in Houston.

The games could be postponed and possibly fit in the schedule using future Bye Weeks.
