The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame 2021 Class includes the all-time leading receiver for the New Orleans Saints, Marques Colston.
The legendary receiver was a seventh-round draft pick in 2006, made the NFL All-Rookie Team, and helped the Saints win Super Bowl XLIV. He recently took an adjunct professor position at UNO.
Colston joins LSU basketball’s Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, LSU football’s Glenn Dorsey, Southern baseball’s Rickie Weeks, LSU track and field coach Pat Henry, Nicholls and Southern Mississippi softball pitcher Courtney Blades-Rogers, Richwood High School football coach and Grambling pitcher Mackie Freeze, and 1980 Bassmaster Classic champion Villis “Bo” Dowden.
The Class of 2021 will be enshrined Saturday, June 26.
