A woman has been sentenced to a year in probation and fined $500 for allowing and feeding a black bear inside of her home.
According to police, multiple pictures show a black bear inside of the home of Sherry Desmond and her co-defendant Nicolas Clemente. The pictures allegedly show Desmond watching her children feeding the wild bear. Officers say that Clemente admitted to feeding the bears. Police also found a video of a bear in the kitchen that was stored on a cellphone.
Desmond was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of children, recklessly endangering another person, and unlawfully driving or disturbing wildlife.
