Krewe of Triton Postpones 2021 Mardi Gras Ball

On Thursday, the Krewe of Triton announced the postponement of their 2021 Mardi Gras ball due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

“As we all know, planning for a Mardi Gras ball occurs months ahead of the celebration itself. After lengthy meetings & careful deliberation, the Krewe of Triton has made the decision to postpone any plans of celebrating our formal Mardi Gras Ball for the 2021 Mardi Gras season.

This decision was made out of an abundance of caution and respect for the health and wellness of our members, patrons and all who celebrate with us.

During this time that would normally be spent planning our Ball, we intend to focus our energy on smaller events and the recruiting process of new members to our Krewe who share the same zest for the celebration of the Mardi Gras season that is instilled in our organization. As of this writing, we are planning on participating in parades, parties and smaller black-tie events through the Mardi Gras season.

The plans surrounding smaller revelries and events connected to the Krewe of Triton’s annual Mardi Gras ball will be decided in a fluid fashion, with consideration of information obtained from medical professionals and laws governing the safety of group gatherings.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter as we are all trying to maneuver these uncertain times, with the general well-being of everyone involved in mind.”
