Major League Baseball is planning to hold the 2020 MLB Draft remotely on June 10th & 11th.
ESPN’s Jeff Passan made the announcement after obtaining a league memo on Friday. As of now, teams will have to conduct the draft via video conference, but that could change. The NFL managed to conduct a remote draft in April.
Day 1 of the 2020 MLB Draft is scheduled for June 10th at 7 pm ET and will include only the first-round picks. The remainder of the picks will be made the following day beginning at 5 pm ET.
