The NFL and Electronic Arts have agreed to extend the Madden video game franchise through 2026.
The 30-year relationship will continue for at least another 6 years as NFL owners came to terms with Electronic Arts on Thursday. The future of the relationship was in question when the NFL signed an agreement with 2K Sports to produce non-simulation games.
“EA has done a nice job of ensuring the game matches the experience during a game week. The new technology will allow richer content and add more realism,” – Rachel Hoagland, NFL Vice President, Head of Gaming & eSports
Madden NFL 21 will be released in early August.
