The LHSAA sent an email to member schools late Wednesday stating that everything is on hold until at least June 8th.
Summer Camps and contact sports are set to remain forbidden as well as on-campus summer camps. Banquets, workouts, and practice are forbidden. The email stated that the safety and health of coaches and student-athletes are the number one concern. More information will be forthcoming in the coming weeks.
Sources close to one high school summer soccer league stated at a meeting on Wednesday that soccer is considered a contact sport and forced the cancellation of the summer league.
