Lafayette Police are investigating a shooting that occurred just before noon today at the intersection of Johnston St. and Garfield St.
According to police, a male victim was discovered on the scene suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower torso. Medical aid was rendered to the victim and he was taken to an area hospital.
The suspect fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival. The investigation is ongoing
