Carencro Detectives Solve A Rash Of Burglaries

Carencro Chief of Police, David Anderson, announced on Thursday that detectives with the Carencro Police Department had filed charges in a case the department has been working since late March concerning multiple burglaries at a local storage facility.

 
 

“Detectives were able to develop leads in the case and began to conduct surveillance. During this time, a suspect at the storage facility, where he was actively attempting to conceal stolen items from other burglaries within Broussard, Lafayette, and Carencro.”

 
 

During the investigation, Carencro Detectives working closely with detectives from the Lafayette and Broussard Police Departments. They were able to solve multiple cases that involved a Harley Davidson motorcycle, several boxes of collectible comic books, baseball cards, and hunting equipment that was returned to their proper owners. The total amount of the items stolen has a value near $65,000.

 
 

Charged in the case are 28-year-old Michael Davis, on two counts of simple burglary, three counts of illegal possession of the stolen property, 38-year old Daisha Gravoula on one count of illegal possession of the stolen property, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, 26-year-old Cutler Theriot on two counts of simple burglary.

 
 

The investigation continues, and more could be forthcoming in this case.
