BKFC to Sweeten $20 Million Deal to Bring Mike Tyson Out of Retirement

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship will be offering $20 million dollars to bring boxing legend, Mike Tyson, out of retirement.

53-year-old “Iron Mike” has been training and getting in shape, sparking many to believe he may be thinking about returning to action. Video clips online showecased that Tyson still has some legitimate skills at his age.

In an Instagram Live video with rapper T.I., Tyson admitted his goal was to compete in a 3 – 4 round boxing exhibition for charity.

Earlier this month, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship tried to capitalize on the news and offered a $20 million contract to get Tyson back in the ring.  Tyson turned the deal down.  However, BKFC President David Feldman just recently told MMAFighting.com that the company is going to sweeten the deal by including charitable donations as well.

Former UFC fighters, Ken Shamrock and Tito Ortiz reportedly expressed interest in the potential fight, but Feldman says he’s thinking more along the lines of another former MMA fighter, like Wanderlei Silva.

“I didn’t offer that (to Ortiz),” Feldman said. “I don’t know that it really draws. I think a Wanderlei Silva, someone of that nature. No matter how old Silva gets, he’s dangerous, and I think that would be an intriguing matchup. Something like that, but I don’t actually have anything in mind right now.”

Silva has apparently reached out to BKFC after the offer to Tyson.

“First, I want to see if we can make the Mike thing happen, period, and then we’ll start talking opponents,” Feldman said. “We’re not successful yet in making that Mike thing happen. But I don’t think the door’s shut.”

Mike Tyson recently made an in-ring appearance at an AEW pro wrestling pay-per-view and showed off his impressive physique.
