Michigan Couple to Have Wedding with Cardboard Cut-Out Guests

A Michigan couple is going to get married Saturday… with cardboard cut-outs for guests.

The COVID-19 virus has surely changed things, having most of the country in self-quarantine situations and events either canceled or postponed.  Michigan couple, Dan Stuglik and Amy Simonson have decided not to cancel or postpone their wedding.  Instead, they’ve chosen to replicate their guests with cardboard cut-outs.

“We’re on plan Q right now,” Stuglik told WSBT.  “I didn’t like the idea of Amy having to walk down the aisle with no one in the pews, that seemed like a very lonely walk, so I wanted something to represent the guests,” said Stuglik.

With the help of Menasha Packing, the couple was able to get cardboard cut-outs of males, females, and couples to help fill the pews of the church.  The couple will still get married on Saturday as planned, but there will be no reception; they’ll just have a home-cooked meal.
