Prime Minister Boris Johnson says he has tested positive for COVID-19.
Johnson announced on Twitter that he developed mild symptoms over the last 24-hours and tested positive for coronavirus. He says he’s self-isolating.
Earlier this week, Johnson’s spokesman said Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab would be the selected minister to stand in, but for now, Johnson will continue to lead the government via video-conference.
Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.
I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.
