The Lafayette Parish School System (LPSS) has been approved for the Emergency Meals-To-You Program.
This program provides students a shelf-stable, easily prepared box of meals. Each box contains a minimum of 10 meals that meet nutritional requirements and will be delivered directly to the student’s residence.
The Emergency Meals-To-You Program is accepting applications from local vendors and suppliers to provide these meals on an as-needed basis. Eligibility requirements are listed on the program’s website and specify that boxes will be filled based on the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) meal pattern guidelines under the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).
