Lafayette Police Department along with the LPD Community Relations Committee will be conducting a community walk from the 2000 block down to the 1600 block of E. Simcoe St. today March 9th beginning at 6:00 p.m.
The walk will begin in the parking lot of Progressive Baptist Church located at 2001 E. Simcoe St. at 5:30 pm. Interim Chief Scott Morgan along with LPD Command Staff and Police Officers will be walking the neighborhood to visit with residents, listen to any concerns and introduce ourselves.
We invite the community to join us, meet with officers and walk the neighborhood with us as we continue in our efforts in bridging the gap between law enforcement and the community.
