In an announcement Friday, Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin said the April 4th primaries in Louisiana will be postponed.
The move includes the presidential primary as well as municipal ballots and races for local positions. The new date for the primaries will be June 20th. Governor John Bel Edwards supports the decision.
