Frank Cates, the owner of Frank’s A.C. and Refrigeration in Sulphur, is going to pitch his new invention on the television show Shark Tank.
Cates has created a device that prevents air conditioner drain lines from getting clogged. The “Algae Eater” is a special pump that Cates designed which helps prevent algae from growing inside the lines. Cates says his invention is already working successfully in some of his customers’ homes, but he admits that he’s a little nervous to travel to New York and pitch his invention.
“I’m nervous as crap to tell you the truth. It’s going to be kind of like the Beverly Hillbillies, going to New York, you know. But I believe I’ll be alright. I believe in my product. I don’t mind talking about it, so I think I’ll be okay,” he said.
There has been no word on when the actual episode will be expected to air.
