President Angelle Adams stated,

“Junior League of Lafayette is proud to offer Lafayette a Diaper Bank that will directly impact the lives of those families most in need in our community. It is exciting to see the efforts of our trained volunteers responding to this need and making such a quality of life difference for mothers, fathers and especially our young children.”

Research shows that the average cost for one child in diapers is about eighty dollars per month. Low-income families are impacted by the financial cost of diapers, as government assistance programs typically do not cover this cost. Partnering with several local community organizations, Junior League of Lafayette’s Diaper Bank hopes to assist those families in need.

With the creation of the Diaper Bank, partnerships between Junior League of Lafayette and several local community organizations were built to distribute to those in need. Currently, Junior League of Lafayette is working with three partner agencies: The DesOrmeaux Foundation, Family Tree, and Love INC.
