In a press release, Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory announced the hiring of Jamie Angelle as the new Chief Communications Officer.
Angelle has over 8-years in journalism experience, including being a multi-media journalist at KATC TV 3 as well as a morning anchor on NEWS15. He also served as an intelligence analyst in the United States Army before retiring in 2017.
As Chief Communications Officer, Angelle will be responsible for public relations and official communications for the city and parish.
“As a fellow Army Veteran, I am excited to have Jamie join our team as CCO. His extensive background in both media and government operations will be a great asset to this administration in providing up-to-date information on issues affecting Lafayette Parish, ” – Josh Guillory
Angelle’s appointment will become effective on March 2, 2020.
