Will Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow Sunday, February 2nd?
Groundhog Day marks the halfway point, between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Each year the nation watches as Phil emerges from his burrow after a long winter’s nap. If Phil encounters his shadow, we can expect six more weeks of winter weather, if not, spring is almost here.
Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania is the chosen site for the annual Groundhog Day event. Thousands of people come to the town of Punxsutawney on Groundhog Day for this day of celebration.
So which will it be this year?
