Guy Buys Super Bowl Ad for Vets That Saved His Dog’s Life

The found and CEO of WeatherTech, which makes protective floor mats, David MacNeil has purchased a Super Bowl ad… but it’s NOT for WeatherTech.

WeatherTech has also started selling high-end food bowls for cats and dogs.  Last year, they ran a Super Bowl ad for their pet care line starring MacNeil’s own golden retriever, Scout.

Unfortunately, Scout was diagnosed with a tumor on his heart back in June and his vet only gave him a 1% chance of surviving it.  MacNeil refused to put him down, instead opting to visit the University of Wisconsin’s School of Veterinary Medicine.  The cancer treatments there saved Scout’s life!

Now, MacNeil has purchased a Super Bowl ad to thank the vets at the University of Wisconsin and asks the public to donate to the university.  The $6 million advertisement will air sometime during the 2nd quarter.
