Now that Chick-Fil-A fever has calmed down (a bit), New Iberia welcomes Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery to Bayou Landing ! The combination store opened to the public today, and if the pics on social media are any indication, the city was ready for these sweet treats.
Local franchisee Patrick Bonin had set his sights on opening in December when he made the official announcement of the dual location back in July. After remodeling the building, hiring a staff and completing a training program at “cookie and cream college” in Georgia earlier this Fall, Bonin’s dream became a reality at 10:30 this morning.
Great American Cookies will feature fresh-baked cookies, brownies and the original cookie cake. Marble Slab features homemade ice cream and a variety of unlimited ‘mix-ins”.
