McNeese State University has announced that the football team will be ineligible for postseason play for the 2020 season.
The postseason ban is due to a low Academic Progress Rate, which was a rule that was added back in 2012. The football team posted an average score of 918.5 over the last 4-years, which is below the 930 threshold.
Football players with a single year of eligibility remaining can choose to transfer and will be eligible to play immediately at another school.
