Former New Orleans Saints wide receiver, Joe Horn has pleaded guilty to a count of “Conspiracy to Commit Healthcare Fraud.”
Horn entered the guilty plea on Thursday. The former superstar receiver is part of a group of 12 players accused of submitting false and fraudulent healthcare claims to be reimbursed for medical equipment that was never purchased. Horn could face up to 10-years in prison.
The NFL alleges more than $3.4 million was paid out for fraudulent claims between June 2017 and December 2018.
