Towards the end of the NFL regular season, the league will often ‘flex’ and reschedule games to prime time that have a larger impact on postseason play than the originally scheduled game.
For weeks, many speculated that the game between two top NFC teams, San Francisco 49ers @ New Orleans Saints, scheduled for Noon on December 8th, 2019, may be flexed to Sunday afternoon or even Sunday Night Football. However, the Sunday Night Football matchup that week is between two division rivals with playoff aspirations, Seattle Seahawks @ Los Angeles Rams.
The NFL has confirmed that there will be no change to the schedule and the Saints will host the 49ers at the originally scheduled time.
