32-year old Christopher Shock of Huntsville, Alabama was recently arrested for printing out fake $20 and $50 bills.
According to police, Shock threw some test runs of the printing into the trash. The fake bills caught the attention of a group of garbagemen in the area who noticed that the test runs were printed on regular paper.
The garbagemen notified authorities and police were able to trace the funny money back to Shock because one of the fake bills was printed on the back of a receipt from the Alabama Paroles and Pardons Department! The receipt had Shock’s personal information on it, including his full name and birth date.
The penalty for forgery in Alabama is up to 20-years per bill and police believe Shock has been printing fake money for a while. He could be facing life in prison.
