A fundraiser has been set up for a local woman who was involved in a fireplace accident. Jennifer Manuel of Vidrine, Louisiana was attempting to light her fireplace when she suffered 2nd-degree burns on her face, neck, and arms.
Her sister has created a Go Fund Me page to assist with medical treatments.
“Hi I’m Katie and I’m raising money for my sister Jenn. She was in a horrible fire accident Sunday night. While trying to light her fireplace she caught on fire and sustained 2nd degree burns on 10% of her body (her whole face, neck and arms) She was airlifted to Lorde’s in Lafayette and is currently in their burn unit. I’m trying raise money to help pay some of her medical treatments. Any donations and prayers are greatly appreciated!”
