A brother and sister from Blakely, Pennsylvania have been arrested after an argument over who was riding ‘shotgun’ led to a hide speed chase with police.
Police say 27-year-old Bret Brezenski and his girlfriend ventured to pick up Bret’s 20-year-old sister from work. Before leaving, Bret and his sister began arguing over who was going to ride in the front passenger seat – his sister or his girlfriend. The argument started getting out of hand and the siblings began fighting while the girlfriend started pleading for help.
When police arrived at the scene, they say Bret sped off and started a high-speed chase with police while his girlfriend was hanging out of the window. The chase came to an end when Bret got slowed down by a traffic jam.
Police took the siblings into custody and charged them with simple assault, resisting arrest, and related offenses. The girlfriend is being treated as a victim; she’s filed a restraining order against both siblings and other members of the family.
