A Canadian Restaurant is Serving Fried Maple Leaves

In what Narcity is calling “the most Canadian meal ever,” a restaurant in Canada is serving up fried maple leaves as an appetizer.

Spirit Tree in Ontario, Canada recently added the temporary item to the bistro’s fall menu as an appetizer that may only be available for this weekend.  The Momiji Tempura (Tempura Fried Maple Leafs) are $6 and are described as:

“Salt cured maple leafs fried with cider tempura batter, drizzled with maple syrup & peanut praline.  Apple soya sauce for dipping.”
