Our partners at News 15 say Tropical Cyclone 16 has formed in the Gulf of Mexico.
The weak system has maximum sustained winds at 35 mph. The system is expected to become Tropical Storm Nestor later Thursday and Tropical Storm Warnings have been issued for Grand Isle and other portions of Southeast Louisiana over to the Florida Panhandle. It’s expected to make landfall early Saturday morning.
